#tarotthursdaythree: Descriptions, stalkers, and no shows.

As always, #tarotthursdaythree is hosted by the lovely Julia of Spiral Sea Tarot.

1. How would you refer to yourself as it relates to your practice? For example, I am a..."tarot reader", "witch", "intuitive", "tarot practitioner", "mystic" etc.?

"Intuitive tarot reader" has been the term that I've been using for a while now. I'm not a psychic or a medium, and I always want to make that clear to people from the start. I do read the cards in a more flowing way than the traditional systems, and sometimes I say things in a reading that while they aren't in the "meaning" of the cards, they fit for the seeker.

#tarotthursdaythree: Blank minds, tattoos, and pip card love.

Another week, and another three questions from Spiral Sea Tarot.

1. Scenario: You're reading for another, but your mind goes blank. None of the cards seem to "match" the inquiry and you're having a hard time interpreting what you're seeing - tips or strategies to overcome the situation?

Confession time: my mind goes blank with every single reading I do.

#tarotthursdaythree: Desert islands, what's off limits, and getting in the mood.

Tarot Thursday Three was started by Spiral Sea Tarot at the beginning of the year. Each week, she posts three questions for tarot lovers everywhere to answer on their blogs, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, or other social media.

1. Classic deserted island scenario: You're stranded for a year on an island, but can bring along one companion. Who from the court family keeps you company?

Queen of Pentacles, without a thought.

Some First Thoughts on "Wicca: A Year and A Day"

I was in middle school when I first became interested in a pagan path. After reading Harry Potter ad Tamora Pierce, watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer and The Craft, and becoming increasingly frustrated with Judaism, it was only natural that I would find my way into the occult. I never really did anything with it, however. I read a ton of books and blogs, and decided that if I was going to be a witch, I had to do it "right". However, for a girl with limited budget and not allowed to light candles in my room, it never really got off the ground. I did spend a lot of time researching herbs and coping down Oghams to right secret messages to myself.
